SAMSUNG 4K SMART TV REVIEW – BEST BUDGET TELEVISION?

The Samsung 4K UHD Smart TV Review – Model 55KU6290 (also known as the 55KU6000 and 55KU6300 Series) – which is possibly the best budget television? This could be THE BEST Budget 4K TV! It has smart TV features, 4K display, “HDR” (which isn’t true HDR), and a smart remote! However, there are always drawbacks to this TV which I have outlined in another video. Overall, this Samsung KU6000/KU6290/KU6300 TV by Samsung is an excellent budget 4K TV which is sure to impress you without breaking the bank. After trying all of these TV’s, the Samsung is the clear winner due to its smart features, low input lag, responsiveness, app support, and rich color and blacks.

I purchased it from Costco in Canada during the Boxing Week Sale for CAD $899. I believe other retailers sell it as the 55KU6300 as well. I have noticed since I purchased this that Costco has discontinued selling it, however, other retailers still sell it:

I have the 40″ version of the KU6290 and it works great as a PC monitor. As long as you have a graphics card that supports HDMI 2.0 then you can get a full 4k resolution (3840 pixels × 2160) at 60Hz with 4:4:4 color subsampling. This only works on HDMI input 1 and you must label it PC using the internal menu. It also supports HDR this way (I’ve played the PC version of RE: 7 and it worked with HDR on). I payed $299.99 + sales tax for mine at BEST BUY (this was around mid to late December 2016). Please note that 1080p looks great on this TV, including PC out at 1080p (I have to do that to get most games to run well). However I run my desktop at the full 3840×2160 with 200% scaling (some people use 150% scaling but I find the text much easier to read at 200% scaling and yes I wear glasses lol).

I just bought this TV to replace my 55″ Element. The HDMI inputs are going out, and only one input is working. It is driving me crazy and I am not going to wait until the third one goes out. With your video, I hope I can set my new TV. It will be arriving in two day. Can’t wait.
