it’s not 2.35:1 but 2.20:1
i think the horrible trend of jumpin’ from one aspect ratio to another started with the dark knight and i still don’t know what the purpose was but i hated it. as far as only 5.1, maybe because it’s a period movie and he probably wanted to keep sound on the legacy surround format.
The reason why the whole film was not shot in the 70mm imax is that as the cameras are very noise they can’t be used in dialogue scenes hence those were shot on 65mm
